Welcome to the Horizon Astronomy Application by Atlas ("Application")! By using our application, you agree to comply with the following terms and conditions ("Terms of Service"). Please read them carefully. The terms "you" and "your" refer to all individuals or entities using the Application. The terms "we," "us," "our," refer to Atlas, and "Application" refers to our Horizon Application itself.

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Changes in our Terms of Service will be effective immediately. By using our Application, you consent to the collection, use, and transfer of your information in accordance with these Terms of Service. If you do not agree with these Terms of Service, please do not use our Application.

Application Usage​

By adding the Horizon Application to your Discord server, you agree to abide by Discord's Terms of Service and Community Guidelines. You agree not to use the Application for any illegal or unauthorized purpose and must not violate any laws in your jurisdiction while using the Application. We reserve the right to modify or discontinue, temporarily or permanently, the Application (or any part thereof) with or without notice at any time.

User Conduct and Responsibility​

You agree to use the Application in compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and third-party agreements. Any activity that disrupts or interferes with the proper functioning of the Application or its associated services is strictly prohibited.

You specifically agree not to:

• Spam bot commands or attempt to intentionally trigger rate limits.
• Use automated scripts or self-bots to interact with Horizon in a way that degrades the service for others.
• Attempt to access, tamper with, or use non-public areas of the Application's backend APIs or systems.

WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR ANY DAMAGES OR LOSSES RESULTING FROM YOUR USE OF THE APPLICATION, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES. YOU ARE SOLELY RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY CONTENT YOU SHARE WHILE USING THE APPLICATION.

AI-Generated Content & Accuracy​

Horizon utilizes advanced Artificial Intelligence (including Google Gemini) to generate news summaries, translate space weather alerts, and provide conversational chat responses. While we strive for high educational accuracy, AI models can occasionally produce inaccurate, misleading, or "hallucinated" information.

You agree that Atlas is not liable for any decisions, damages, or misunderstandings arising from AI-generated content. You should always verify critical information (such as launch countdowns, trajectories, or severe space weather warnings) with official sources like NASA, NOAA, or the respective space agencies.

Third-Party Data & Automations​

Horizon aggregates and posts data from trusted third-party APIs (such as NASA, NOAA, The Space Devs, and Spaceflight News). Atlas does not claim ownership of this raw data.

While we use only trusted sources with official announcements and implement filters to manage quality, Atlas is not responsible for the accuracy, availability, or content provided by these external sources. We reserve the right to delete, block, or modify sources that fail to provide quality content without prior notice.

Intellectual Property and Branding​

You agree to use any Application branding assets provided by the Atlas Team in compliance with all applicable laws. Modification or alteration of the Application logos or branding in any way that may misrepresent the original intent or disrupt the visual integrity is prohibited. You must not use the Application logos or branding in a manner that may suggest endorsement, affiliation, or sponsorship without prior written consent from the Atlas Team. Some emojis or icons used in Horizon commands may have been sourced from Flaticon, and we do not claim ownership of these external assets.

Termination​

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Application at any time, with or without cause, and without notice. Upon termination, all licenses and rights granted to you by these Terms of Service will immediately cease.

Disclaimer of Warranties​

Your use of the Application is at your own risk. The Horizon Application is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We make no warranties regarding the Application, its content, or any services provided, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Application will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free.

Limitation of Liability​

In no event will we or our team and partners be liable for any damages whatsoever arising out of or related to your use or inability to use the Application. This includes any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, punitive, or other indirect damages, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

These Terms of Service constitute the entire agreement between you and Atlas with respect to the Application and supersede all prior communications. If any part of these Terms of Service is determined to be invalid or unenforceable, it will not impact any other provision, all of which will remain in full force and effect. Our failure to enforce any portion of these Terms of Service is not a waiver of such portion.

Atlas is not a registered company but a team of individuals and developers of Horizon, owning the domains teamatlas.dev and horizonbot.xyz. We are not associated with any registered entity under the name "Atlas." Any use of our services is subject to our Terms of Service & Privacy Policy. Please note that while we strive to provide a reliable and enjoyable experience, Atlas does not claim ownership of any names, brands, or intellectual properties beyond those explicitly mentioned.
