There is more beyond the Horizon
It’s been a while since our last announcement, but that doesn’t mean we’ve stopped working. Quite the opposite, our team is still hard at work on the Horizon Rewrite update.
Over time, more and more ideas keep coming to mind. Every new idea opens the door to another possibility, and before we know it, the entire project becomes bigger and a little more complex.
There’s still a lot we can’t share yet because things are always changing, but today we can announce two new features that are definitely coming!
Horizon AI, here to help you!
The new Horizon will include Horizon AI, powered by our Horizon API.
As it does now, it will bring data from our third-party providers directly into your Discord community. But also, now you will be able to summarise space-related articles, blogs, images, and other content without having to leave Discord.
Our goal: bring knowledge directly to your community with just one click.
Astronomy Posts
We’re also introducing Astronomy Posts!
You’ll be able to submit your own astronomy photos to the Horizon Gallery and view them directly through a command.
We’re also looking into ways to automatically share these creations with other communities using Horizon Automations, always giving full credit to the original creator (future update).
Open Source mind for the future..
And most importantly, we don’t want Horizon to be a closed ecosystem.
In the future, with the consent of our users, we want to help other developers use Horizon through our API and build their own projects with the data, content, and possibilities that Horizon can create.
We don’t want to create a monopoly. We want to help other developers build, experiment, and create new ways for people to discover and learn about space.
